Binga to Kariba
Day 1 – Binga Fishing Camp
The first day will consist of departing Victoria Falls and making our way to the Lake, where we will spend our first night on the raft on Lake Kariba. A full briefing will take place that night to relate all the important information regarding the format of the trip and what is to be expected.
Day 2 – Chete Safari Area
We will head down the Zambezi River for 35km through the Devils Gorge towards the start of Lake Kariba. From here we continue to our first night of camping, on one of the lakes best beaches in the Safari Area, well known for elephants.
Day 3 – Ruzi Area
Passing through the Chete Safari Area, another great beach awaits our arrival for the night, which has the best sunsets on the lake and also high chances of seeing the resident elephants.
Day 4 – Bumi Hills Area
Travelling to the shores Matusodona National Park for game viewing and spectactular birding whilst relaxing on board. This park has famous "big tuskers" and beautiful bays to explore all day.
Day 5 – Eastern Basin/ Kariba
The last day of the tour we will travel to the Town of Kariba passing a local fishing Village known as Kings Camp. In town you can visit local markets and the old church. We will then make our way to Kariba wall and its breathtaking views over the lake. There are also chances to take scenic flights over the lake.
The following day you can either catch transfers to Lusaka by bus or back to Victoria Falls by raft with Kangamani Tours. The raft will take two days to get there.
Transport from Kariba to Lusaka or Harare can be arranged in advance.
Binga to Binga North
Day 1 – Binga Fishing Camp
The first day will consist of departing Victoria Falls and making our way to Binga town. where we will spend our first night on the raft on the banks of Lake Kariba. The details of teh trips will be passed on and we will be able to visit the hot springs as well.
Day 2 - Chete Safari Area
Heading up the lake towards one of its famous safrai aeas to game view and enjoy the birding and the wild area where there is no one to be seen. You start to feel like you are the only person there, absolutely beautiful surroundings.
Day 3 - Ruzi River Mouth
Another fantastic day ahead with not far to travel, we will still be in the safari area so game viewing is alway on the cards, as well as a short little trip out into the middle of the lake to get an idea of the expanse of it, the famous Sengwa Basin.
Day 4 - Kangamani Island
We will sart heading back toward Binga today and will be staying at Kangamani Island if the weather permits, Known to have elephants roaming around most of the year, it is a beautiful Island to relax and soak in he vistas of the lake.
Day 5 - Binga
We will end the tour this day by heading back to Binga and then on to Victoria Falls.
Binga To Binga South
Day 1 - Binga
The start of the tour willbegin in Victoria Falls and will involve travelling South to the town of Binga where we will visit the Hot Springs and embark the raft to leave for our first nigt out heading south towards Milibizi.
Day 2 - Gwai River Mouth
Today we will continue cuising in the devils gorge towards the Gwaai River Mouth, it is very beautiful scenery and great birding and fishing to be had.
Day 3 - Little Kariba
We will reach the interesting Little Kariba on this Day and enjoy the surrounds of the Zambezi River, great fishing in this region we can aim for the huge Vundu Catfish.
Day 4 - Milibizi Basin
Heading back now towards Binga we go through the Basin past Elephant Point and on to Sebungwe Narrows beofr we enter the Binga Basin.
Day 5 - Binga
Return to Binga on the last day of the tour, we disembark the raft at 11am and get our transfer back to Victoria Falls whic will be the nd of the tour.
Transfers are back to the Victoria Falls take 4 Hrs, so for those wishing to catch flights at 2 pm we will have to arrange special transfers.
