Itinerary Guided Fishing Trips
This is the option for those who have access to their own boat, and want to cover the length of the Lake Kariba fishing, camping or game viewing in their own boat. There are certain requirements with regards to your own vessel.
* The itinerary will be as follows.
Day 1 – Olive Beadle/Msuna
The first night of the tour will be spent in this fishing camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Time will be spent sorting out the boats, packing, arranging fuel, and doing engine checks. All relevant information needed for the days ahead will be addressed once all parties are present.
Day 2 – Binga Area
We will take off from our camp and head towards the start of the Lake. We will be staying near the Town of Binga. Where there are Crocodile Farms, Natural Springs, and a Fuel stop.
Day 3 – Chete Safari Area
We depart Binga in the Morning, heading up the Lake toward Chete Safari Area, well known for Sand banks, fishing, elephants and lions, where we will camp our first night on a beautiful beach.
Day 4 – Bumi Hills Area
We will be making the crossing today of the famous Sengwa Basin, 100km long and 30 km wide, Bumi is on the lip of the Matusodona National Park.
Day 5 – Spurwing Island
Still in the Matusodona Area staying in a majestic Island Lodge, stunning views of the Matusodona Mountains, swimming pool, bar, and good fishing all around.
Day 6 – Charara, Kariba
Staying near the town of Kariba, we will have the opportunity to look around the town, see an old church, the Lake wall, and just relax at our camp.
Day 7 – Nyamanberi
Leaving the Town of Kariba behind us we head back down the Eastern Basin towards the Bumi Hills area where we will be camping on the Island of Nyamanberi.
Day 8 – Rhuzi Area
This area is excellent for fishing and game, we will be camping on another great beach, which is second to none.
Day 9 – Milibizi Fishing Camp
Now going back towards Binga for fuel stops. From here we travel south, towards the Sebungwe Narrows, and Mlibizi.
Day 10 – Msuna Fishing Resort
Last day on the Lake we head back towards our start point on the Zambezi River, where we can take our time fishing or last minute exploration.
