Chundu Island Camp is situated 21km upstream from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The Island is just over 1 km long and 100 meters wide and lies within the famous Zambezi National Park. It is host to some of the most spectacular grand old trees you will find anywhere in the region along with a incredible white sandy beach where dinner and sundowner drinks can be organized.

Chundu Island is a tented camp with awesome views overlooking the Zambezi River and towards the Zambezi National Park. The Camp has fully functional kitchen, laundry, dining room, lounge, viewing deck and bar. The accommodation consists of six tents, two of which are en suite and spacious. The other four tents share comfortable toilet and shower facility with hot water.
All of the tents overlook the Zambezi River and are set under beautiful shady trees. Chundu Island Camp is a low key camp but offers comfortable accommodation, great food, spectacular surroundings, friendly staff, and most of all a genuine Zambezi experience.
The variety of birdlife on Chundu Island is really something astounding, and certainly one of the biggest attractions along with the wildlife. Morning and afternoon walks can be arranged with a guide so you can admire all that the Island has to offer. Elephants often come onto the Island for the date palms and the resident bushbuck can be seen around camp.
The fishing on this stretch of the Zambezi River is particularly good for Tiger Fish and the Nembwe Bream, both of which are predators and some of the best fresh water fighters known to man! There are 2 boats on Chundu Island for just this purpose.
Another pontoon is also available to go out on for a game cruise or sundowner cruise in the evenings. Game drive vehicles on the mainland are available for game drives in the National Park both morning and evening, whichever suites your day’s plan..
